On my way home from the Valley I stopped in Charlottesville, VA and explored the campus of UVA as well as the mall in downtown Charlottesville. I have driven past the area more times than I can count over the past 30 years and I have never stopped to look. I have been missing something. The campus is beautiful and while I will not say that you can't get a bad photo from the campus, it's close. Click here and take a look at a few of the shots I was able to get.

For the Thanksgiving holiday I always go to a small town in the Shenandoah valley to spend the holidays with family. This year I took the time to do when I call photo prospecting. I hop in my truck and I drive in a random direction just to see what I can find. I've always been drawn to the old buildings, The dilapidated barns, falling down houses that are seen on any of the rural routes in Virginia. I was not disappointed on this day as I was able to find many of the subjects but I'm drawn to. This is where photography really becomes fun for me. I hope you enjoy them as well. Click on the photo prospecting page to see all of the new images. Feel free to post any comments here.
